Color Services

  • Base Color

    The term “base color” refers to the color of your hair, whether natural or dyed, before highlights, lowlights or any additional color is applied. To get the look you're after, it's important for your colorist to achieve the correct base color first. It also plays a big part in the kind of highlights that look best.

  • Root Touch Up

    As your hair grows, root touch-ups are a cost-effective way to help seamlessly blend your roots into the rest of your hair.

    The touchup process itself doesn't take too long. A typical application is around thirty to sixty minutes. Processing with time, heat, or both is another thirty to forty-five minutes.

Highlight

Highlights are often the first introduction many have to coloring their hair.  Highlights enhance your hair by adding streaks that are a shade or two lighter than your natural color. Multiple shades can be added throughout the hair (i.e. specific areas of the hair can be highlighted to frame the face.

New Creations uses 2 different processes to produce a highlighted effect and one or the other is selected based on how much of your hair will be highlighted.

  • Foiling

    Foiling is a hair colouring technique where sections of hair are coloured and separated from the non-colored sections by foils.

  • Highlight Through Cap

    Highlights maybe done through an old fashioned plastic cap. allowing for easier application of several different colors for a more subtle and natural look.

Permanent Waving

  • Perm

    A perm (short for “permanent waving”) process using heat and chemicals to alter your natural hair texture/structure i.e. from straight to wavy.
    A perm can be about two to three hours, so be sure to schedule an appointment for this service.
